Ben Barres was a pioneer in neuroscience who made many fundamental discoveries about the important roles of glia in the nervous system. He was also an incredibly supportive mentor and fierce advocate for women, LGBT+, and underrepresented minorities in science. We hope to bring together everyone whom Ben inspired and supported and provide an opportunity to share stories, hear tributes from our invited guests, talk about glia, and continue the discussion of inclusivity in science that was so important to Ben. All are welcome!
